What affects the quote?
- Boat length and total exterior surface area
- Oxidation, chalking, drip marks and staining
- Access to both sides, roof/deck and working space
- Whether the boat is in the water or on the hard
- Textured/non-skid areas versus smooth gel coat
When a boat is in the water, service is limited to accessible above-rail / topside areas. Hull washing, polishing and correction require the boat to be out of the water and on the hard.
Send wide exterior views plus close-ups of oxidation, staining, drip marks and problem areas. In many cases, that is enough to prepare a quote without an on-site estimate.
Start Quote RequestCommon questions.
Will maintenance detailing remove heavy oxidation?
No. Maintenance detailing is intended for gel coat already in relatively good condition. Heavy oxidation is a correction project.
Do you wax non-skid walkable surfaces?
No. SiO2 protection is applied only where the surface and use are appropriate; textured/walkable areas are treated differently for safety and practicality.
Can you quote from photos?
Often, yes. Length, wide exterior views and close-ups of oxidation or drip marks are especially helpful.
